Top Movies to Watch With The Whole Fam...Dogs too!
With the holidays, the colder weather, shorter days upon us, we find we all like to snuggle up with cozy blankets and our soft and snugly Australian Labradoodles. Each of our dogs will watch TV and like the humans in the house, they have their favorites. Here is a list of some holiday movies & some of our house favorites to get you through the holiday and cold season with your pets.
Movies with 4 Legged Stars or Cameos
Our Doodles love to watch movies with dog and cat characters. And if those 4 legged stars have human voices...well, we're all in!
The Grinch (2018), is a house favorite here, everyone loves the Grinch’s best dog, Max.
A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965) – Join the Peanuts gang, including the iconic black and white beagle, Snoopy, as they find the meaning of and celebrate Christmas. (we haven't seen this in a few years, but it is Charlie Brown Christmas)
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989) – Ohhhh the Griswolds’ & their holiday shenanigans, as funny as they are, they also give some valuable lessons for pet parents. Remember when, cousin Eddie’s dog Snots chokes on a bone, and when the cat gets zapped from chewing on the cord of the Christmas lights. YIKES!!!!!
Lady and the Tramp (1955) – The Classic version is great, but we are all loving the new version on Disney +!!! Who doesn't love a story of true love that has adventure and romance?
Beauty & the Beast (2017) - Ok ok, I know that the Beast isn't a dog or cat....but he is, well a Beast and we watched this the other night and even bouncy Taffy was happy to watch!
Polar Express (2004) – A doubting young boy takes an unforgettable train ride to the North Pole where he learns about friendship and the spirit of Christmas.
Eight Below (2006) - I mean if you haven't seen it, grab some Kleenex just in case. Plus it has Paul Walker in it
Movies That are House Favorites...for us and our Doodles!
Beverly Hills Chihuahua (2008) - Our Izzy LOVES the German Shepard, Delgado. She actually touches the TV with her nose watching him!
Harry Potter (1-6) - Cosmos watches all of the Harry Potter movies, except the last two...I think they may be too scary for him.
Black Panther (2018) - This is the only show Taffy watches all the way through. She is ALL IN.....which is fine with us...we're a MARVEL family!***EDITED TO ADD the Disney+ movie TOGO! It is a must see! Taffy was literally on the edge of her seat (see this on our FB or IG)
Fantastic Beasts (both) are Great!
Elf (2003) - This is a classic over here!
Sandlot (1993) - I'm not sure if we love the kids, the dog, or that we say still often say "you're killin me smalls". Anohter Classic
